Mardi Gras Celebration and riding Iron Gwazi


    We love Busch Gardens.  Not just because it's close to home for us, but because they have an abundance of wildlife and some of the best coasters in the country.  As many of you know, Iron Gwazi opened up for passholders a few weeks ago and Brittany has been dying to give it a go.  To say the least, she thoroughly enjoyed it. Because it is passholder preview she was able to get on and ride in less than five minutes and she was off before I even had a chance to look around the gift shop.  Speaking of which, they have collector coffee cups that caught my eye.  They're only making 500 of them, and we decided to purchase one so that we could give it away to a lucky subscriber of our YouTube Channel (shameless plug).

    I was interested in the mardi gras food and drinks so we decided to purchase a sample lanyard.  For $55 we were able to get 12 samples - both beverages and food.  We found some good samples... and some not so good samples.
  •  We started at Jackson Square and tried the Jambalaya.  I LOVE Jambalaya.  I was very disappointed.  The rice was over cooked and the seasoning was off. Jackson Square got us off to a bad start.  It would later redeem itself.
  •  We then went to Esplande St to try the brisket and have a bloody Mary.  Both of which were very good.  Brittany, who is tough on bloody Mary's, enjoyed it quite a bit.  
  • We then went to Bayou Beverage to try the Tampa Vice and Green Fairy Margarita (Was very good!).  We also tried the cider beer which we both enjoyed.
  • After that we decided to try a few desserts; Biegnets and a Sundae. The Beignets were made with Banana Fosters and were very good.  The Sundae, which was salted caramal ice cream, had popcorn on it.  That was a risky move, and Britany didn't like it at all.
  •  We finished the night back at Jackson Square to try the shrimp and grits.  I usually don't like shrimp and grits, but these were VERY GOOD.  Jackson square redeemed!

Lastly y'all need to try the cupcakes at cupcake corner.  We like these as much as ANYWHERE we've ever gone.

March 8, 2022 IComeHereForTheFood Hollywood Studios Livestream!     Today I went to Disney's Hollywood Studios to take a look around since I hadn't been for a few weeks.  This park is probably the second most overlooked park at Disney World.  Even with Galaxy's edge, it always seems like an after thought to me. However, today was pretty busy.  I noticed long lines at almost every ride.  Over 2 hours for Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog, Tower of Terror and just shy of two hours for Rockin Roller Coaster.  Those are all great rides, so I'm not completely surprised by the wait times.  We do not use Genie+ or Lightening lane.  Nor will we.  We go enough that we will be able to ride those rides at some point.  I feel for the people who don't have that opportunity though.       Food wise, Hollywood Studios has always been my least favorite.  Brown Derby was a let down, though it wasn't bad per se, it just didn'...

Busch Gardens Tampa!

WELCOME! I have been considering creating a blog that will coincide with our YouTube channel.  The channel is dedicated to livestreaming from various amusment parks and other locals throughout our travels.  My wife has run our other blogs and this is my first go at it :)  On Tuesday June 24, 2021 I visited Busch Gardens Tampa to do my weekly Live Stream.  It good to see all the people out and about enjoying the beautiful weather.  Though it was hot (heat index around 98degrees Fahrenheit), there were people out enjoying the various roller coasters and getting snacks.  I didn't visit the Giraffe Bar this visit as I was alone and would be driving home, I have visited it in the past and really enjoy the atmosphere, especially when you take into account the savannah view!
